It's difficult to deny that one of the most memorable moments in last year's Jurassic World was the scene where Bryce Dallas Howard bravely summons the T. Rex to battle against the Indominus Rex to save Chris Pratt and two children. But the main reason why everyone remembers the scene is not because of the character's sudden bravery or the entertaining fight sequence that ensues; it was all about Claire running around in high heels. However, you shouldn't expect Howard to wear those shoes again in Jurassic World 2.
E! recently caught up with Howard at the Sundance Film Festival, where she answered the all-important question about the sequel: Will Claire still keep her high heels on while running away from dinosaurs?
"That was part of Jurassic World. They served their purpose," Howard said before explaining that her character will be a completely different woman in the sequel.
"Actually, to answer that question seriously, Claire is a different person now. You now, the person she is at the end of the movie is not the person she was in the beginning. Her armor of sorts was that white, pristine outfit with heels in a very corporate environment and stuff, and the chick at the end... totally different," she said.
So what kind of shoes will the new Claire be wearing in Jurassic World 2?
"It better not be heels," Howard said.
The issue about Claire's choice of shoes (or choice to keep them on while escaping a vicious dinosaur) was one of the most talked-about subjects from Jurassic World, with fan reactions ranging from very positive to downright hilarious.
Nevertheless, Howard took all of it in stride and will hopefully make sure her character procures a pair of heavy-duty running shoes by the time Jurassic World 2 hits theaters in 2018.
