There is no doubt that The Walking Dead fans are already wondering what could happen when the sixth season finally returns to AMC this February, and it has a lot to do with the introduction of Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the comic book villain Negan. Luckily, TWD star Norman Reedus has just offered a hint on what Negan could expect when he makes his debut: a really good fight.
Reedus, who plays fan favorite Daryl Dixon, recently did an interview with Empire magazine (via ComicBook.com), where he revealed that Morgan's baseball-wielding baddie should get ready to rumble.
"There's going to be a fight," Reedus confirmed. However, he didn't admit whether it would be between Negan and Daryl or any of the other characters in the show.
"I won't tell you who, when, and where, but I can promise you a fight," Reedus said before hinting that it might be an all-out brawl.
"All of us are about to clash with that mother-ker," he said. "There's a lot of turmoil in the second half of Season 6."
But will Negan and Daryl get in a major fight? The possibility has already been hinted upon in the post-credits scene after the mid-season finale, where Daryl, Abraham and Sasha encounter a group of bikers that turn out to be members of the Saviors. There have even been speculations that Daryl will be Negan's first victim in The Walking Dead.
So does this mean Daryl might be meeting his end soon? The show has already met some backlash over the supposed death of another fan favorite Glenn (Steven Yeun) so it is highly unlikely that producers would want to risk more outrage. After all, Daryl fans have already announced that they will riot if the character gets killed off in the show.
The second half of The Walking Dead Season 6 will air on AMC on February 14.
