It appears that Donald Trump's incessant squawking over Ted Cruz's questionable eligibility to run for the President of the United States has finally gotten to the Texas senator. It's being reported that he's challenged Trump to a one-on-one debate before the Iowa Caucuses on Feb. 1. Of course, Trump famously backed out the most recent Fox News debate so we're guessing he may have some spare time.

The super PACs supporting Cruz have upped the senator's challenge, offering up $1.5 million to whatever veterans' charity Donald Trump chooses. Trump has a been a longtime supporter of American vets, going so far as telling Bill O'Reilly that he's skipping out the Fox News debate to host an event of his own for, you guessed it, our veterans.

And also because Fox News "disrespected" him and Megyn Kelly remains a moderator.

During an interview with NBC News, Cruz explained that he believes the people of Iowa "deserve" a conversation between the two Republican candidates leading the party.

One of Cruz's donors reportedly believes it would be a "heck of a debate" as well as "a terrific opportunity to generate millions of dollars for the veterans."

NBC reports that Cruz has a plan for the debate all laid out, should it go down. He's apparently locked down a venue in Sioux City, Iowa, at 8 p.m. with 800 seats available for Saturday night. The senator admits that he'll be there regardless of whether or not Trump should show up. Of course, if he does, Trump will have control over half of the tickets and will be able to choose if the two should have moderators. Cruz has called for three moderators but says he is perfectly fine doing it with none whatsoever.

So, will Donald Trump show up?
