Karan Johar Wants Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan & Aamir Khan to Star in a Homosexual Film

Every fan of Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan wants these three to act in a film together. Now, Bollywood filmmaker, Karan Johar thinks that these three superstars would have no problem in portraying homosexual characters in a feature film.

Recently, at the trailer launch of upcoming film, Aligarh, which follows the real life event of a homosexual professor (played by Manoj Bajpai) and how the Aligarh University fired him from his post as a language teacher, one reporter asked Johar on his views if celebrated stars like Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman would be comfortable in portraying such characters on silver screen. Johar, who is currently busy with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, replied in the affirmative and even stressed the fact that if Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman will come across a good script, they will have no problem playing such characters. Johar was quoted by PinkVilla as responding:

"I hope that superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman and Aamir for that matter will totally engage in a film like this. They will surely breathe through cinematically."

After attending the special screening of the film, Johar also mentioned that he related very deeply with the film and all the characters. Johar was quoted by Indian Express as:

"I'm very emotionally moved by the film. Not just the outstanding performances by the lead actors Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkummar Rao, Hansal Mehta has made a beautiful and a thought-provoking film."

In 2008, Johar produced Bollywood's first comedy film, Dostana, which swirled around the lives of homosexuals. According to Bollywoodlife, Johar and Dostana film director, Tarun Mansukhani, are planning a sequel to Dostana and it will feature ensemble cast of Arjun Rampal, Katrina Kaif, Riteish Deshmukh and Shreyas Talpade. Now, it would be interesting to see if Johar will also work on a script after Dostana 2 that may feature stars like Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir.
