Brooklyn Beckham, the oldest son of British power couple David and Victoria Beckham (also known as Posh and Becks), has every single opportunity life has to give. Now, as he's taken an interest in photography, the celebrity teen has been hired by major brand Burberry to go behind the camera for a new fashion campaign -- and some professional photographers are calling out nepotism and whining on social media.
According to The Daily Mail, professional photographers, and even fans, of fashion took to social media to express their discontent over Beckham being hired for the job, as the young celebrity is being handed an opportunity plenty of established photographers would kill to have: shooting a Burberry fragrance campaign.
Besides the sheer fact of being Posh and Becks' son, the criticism behind the brand's move is that the Beckhams have had a long relationship with Burberry over the years. For example, just last year, Brooklyn's younger brother, Romeo, was in front of the camera for another of their campaigns --- so, understandably, the move is being called out as "sheer nepotism" in social media.

In the past, 16-year-old Beckham has expressed interest in pursuing a career in photography in social media, but this is the first known gig he's gotten, and it's going to be a pretty tough act to follow if he's starting with Burberry.
Fashion photographer Chris Floyd, who in the past has worked on portraits of the likes of Steve Buscemi and Stephen Fry, told The Guardian that the teenage Beckham was the exact opposite of his parents. While Posh and Becks had gotten way to the top through their hard work in music, fashion and soccer, Brooklyn was just lucky enough to be born in a successful family.
"Part of me takes my hat off to Burberry and says that's clever, but the photographer side of me says for god's sake," said Floyd. "Brooklyn Beckham's got however many million Instagram followers, that's what's attracted Burberry. The people his age are Burberry's target market or the future target market."
