Even though it doesn't look as though Britney Spears is returning to the "X-Factor" fellow judge Demi Lovato will be coming back for a third season of the singing reality show. Fellow judge Simon Cowell confirmed that Lovato will indeed be back as a judge on FOX's "X-Factor." This is good news for Cowell who reportedly will be losing LA Reid and Britney Spears on the judging panel. Now Cowell just needs to find two more celebrity judges.

In a statement on Thursday via Deadline, Cowell said, "I couldn't be happier that Demi wants to come back this year. She's a superstar in her own right and was a fantastic mentor last year. Even though she can be really, really annoying - I truly enjoyed working with her and so did the artists," Cowell joked. "I'm especially pleased she's back even during her world tour!" Although Spears and Reid are not going to be on the next season, Cowell at least gets back the one judge who he constantly can bicker with on the show.

The loss of Spears and Reid may be just what "X Factor" needs as it seemed to be missing something last season. The season 2 finale's ratings on December 20, 2012 were down nearly 20% from the season 1 finale according to Deadline. The show shelled out millions of dollars to bring Spears on the show as a judge and it clearly didn't work. Spears wasn't a complete train wreck, but in all honesty, that may have helped ratings. Now, Cowell is left searching for two more judges. He may only have one more shot at getting the right judges before network executives lose patience.

As for Lovato, she already released her new single "Heart Attack" and she is expected to release a new album later in 2013. Lovato is also going on a world tour later this year in what should be a big year for the young singer.
