'The Flash' Season 2 Cast: Grant Gustin Nabs Kids’ Choice Awards 2016 Nominations!

The CW network continues with Season 2 of The Flash. While Barry Allen is dealing with his previous confrontation between Zoom (voiced by Tony Todd), Grant Gustin) has earned himself a nomination from the 2016 Kids' Choice Awards.

In our previous recap, while Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) discovered Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale)'s crimes for drag racing, Barry had to confront the metahuman, Cisco's White Whale, The Turtle. Barry has been having nightmare about Zoom killing Patty (Shantel VanSanten). As Patty doubted how strong her relationship was with Barry, The Flash actually risked his life to stop Turtle from killing her. As Caitlin discovered Jay was dying, Barry had to say goodbye to Patty, who was leaving Central City and breaking up with him.

In our recent recap, Wally West needed Iris West (Candice Patton)'s help to deal with his mother's impending death. Because The Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher) ruptured the timeline, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) was having seizures. The Flash had to send the Reverse-Flash back to his future in order to save Cisco. After learning his secret identity, Patty left Central City, saying her own goodbye to Barry. Caitlin ended up meeting Jay's Earth-1 doppelgänger, Hunter Zolomon.

According to Gossip Cop, the Kids' Choice Awards nominations have been announced. Not only is Blake Shelton hosting this year's awards ceremony, the country superstar has been nominated for Favorite Male Singer, alongside Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, and Ed Sheeran.

The CW superhero drama has been nominated for Favorite Family TV Show. The former Glee actor landed himself a nod for Favorite Male TV Star - Family Show. Gustin will also be competing against another comic book favorite, Gotham's very own Ben McKenzie. The other nominees include Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory), plus Rico Rodriguez (Modern Family).

The Flash continues Season 2 on the CW Tuesdays at 8pm. The Kids Choice Awards take place in Los Angeles on March 12.
