Jim Carrey has definitely stirred up some controversy with his recent gun control parody video "Cold Dead Hands" on "Funny Or Die," where the Kick Ass 2 actor mocks the NRA and Charlton Heston. He has been gaining a lot of hatred over this, including some now ex-fans who have taken the actor's parphanelia that they had gotten from him and putting it up for sale on eBay. Sure that seems fine, but they all have come out saying that the money earned from selling such things as autographs will go towards purchasing guns.

In response to the eBay claims from ex-fans, Carrey said:
"A lot of the autographs you'll buy 4 guns online r fakes. Jokes on both buyer and seller. Not to mention the karma. Your luck will be bad. ;^)"
Mstarz recently covered Carrey's gun control parody. Here is an excerpt, including quotes:
FOX news co-host of "The Five," Greg Gutfeld apparently was very angry over this video when he went on air calling Carrey a "moral coward" and "modern bigot." Gutfeld went on to question Carrey's motives, questioning via Newsbusters.org), "He thinks this is biting satire? Going after rural America and a dead man?"
Gutfeld's rant may have just drawn more attention to the video, as it has caused many more media outlets to pick up the story. Gutfeld got quite nasty at one point, saying (viaNewsbusters.org), "He did a video attacking rural America. You wouldn't do video about gangs which kills more people with handguns. He wouldn't do that because he is too worried about his career. He's such a pathetic, sad, little freak. He is a gibbering mess."
Carrey fought back on Twitter saying, "'Cold Dead Hand' is [about] u heartless motherf***ers unwilling 2 bend 4 the safety of our kids. Sorry if you're offended by the word safety!" Carrey continued by tweeting, "I'm appalled at [what] I've seen on [this] stream the last few days, all in hatred's defense. No wonder it's so dangerous to be a child today." One thing is for sure, whether you agree with Carrey or Gutfeld, both sides are very passionate about the topic. Carrey later took a more neutral approach by tweeting, "There r also many fair minded [people] out there and I appreciate their support [but] I love [everyone] whether we agree or not."
There also is a petition on Change.org that states, "Deport Canadian Citizen Jim Carrey for Attacking 2nd Amendment: Stop attacking American 2nd Amendment and move back to Canada." You can read the entire petition here.
