What do "The Voice" judge Blake Shelton, "Late Night" host Jimmy Fallon, and "Parks and Recreation" star Nick Offerman all have in common? They look pretty darn good flaunting bright yellow chicken suits, and they're all rather good at clucking, too! On Thursday evening's episode of CBS' hit "Late Night Show with Jimmy Fallon," all three celebrities performed an amusing parody of The Lumineers' breakthrough song "Ho Hey" to the tune of clucking chickens - right in time for Easter! Introducing... The Chickeneers!
Check out The Chickeneers' debut performance below... the video was just posted on YouTube on Thursday (March 28), and has already garnered over 8,000 hits:
Do fans approve? How does the Easter-inspired rendition compare to The Lumineers' original:
Several fans apparently dig Shelton, Fallon, and Ron Swanson's (aka, Offerman's) "clucking" version:
thedraphter: "That had to be one of the funniest things I've seen in a while."
luvravens: "absolutely loved this!"
lmacwhinney: "This is the best cover of any song I've ever heard. XD."
jassyj97: "I wasn't expecting this to actually sound pretty good."
Sarah Kabbara: "Haha freaking awesome! I can't stop smiling at this!"
MKDiva81: "That was clucking awesome!"
And as for that fourth chicken? He's one of Fallon's staffers.
Fallon later tweeted the clip, writing:
@jimmyfallon:"Happy Easter, From Late Night."
The parody track's even available on iTunes!
