The Walking Dead Season 6 Spoilers: Is Alicia Witt Playing Jeffrey Dean Morgan/Negan's Wife?

AMC is just weeks away from the mid-Season 6 premiere of The Walking Dead. As Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) continue his personal war against the Walkers, will new cast member Alicia Witt turn out tone Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan)'s many wives?

As we previously mentioned, Rick (Lincoln) has his hands full since the collapse of the wall. In the mid-season finale, Glenn (Steven Yuen) saw Maggie (Lauren Cohan) trapped as she was surrounded by walkers. In order to get to safe ground, Rick has to coverless in blood and guts in order for the walkers to lose his scent. But with the a frightened child on board, drawing himself attention amidst the walker horde, just about how far will Rick be able to get away?

Announced on her official twitter account, the Twin Peaks actress writes, "proud & overjoyed to get to announce to you today: I'm joining one of the greatest shows ever made. #TheWalkingDead! @WalkingDead_AMC #TWD"

As Comic Book Resources reports, "It is not clear whether Witt will appear in the back-half of the current season, or if her character will debut in Season 7."

With the recent announcement of Jeffrey Dean Morgan as baddie Negan, we can only speculate that the Dune actress is connected to his character. In the comic book series, Negan happens to have many wives who are willing to fulfill his evil bidding. Will the TV adaptation drop the many wives angle and just focus on one? Or is the Sopranos red-head playing someone specifically made for the series?

We await confirmation on who Alicia Witt will actually be playing.
