CW 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Episode 3 'Blood Ties': Wentworth Miller, Caity Lotz Recap!

The CW Network continues with the pilot premiere of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. In episode 3, Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) join White Canary (Caity Lotz) as they take the fight to Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) in Blood Ties.

In ancient Egypt,Savage defends himself against an intruder, who turns out to be Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill). Back o the Waverider, Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee)'s condition has worsened. Because he's a mechanic, Firestorm (Franz Drameh) has to be the one to fix the spaceship. White Canary has an idea; take away Savage's fortune in 1975.

The Atom (Brandon Routh) and Martin Stein (Victor Garber) argue about shrinking down to size to get rid of the broken dagger fragments in Hawkgirl. Heat Wave and Captain Cold are interested in getting into bank as they steal a device from Hunter. 

Though the Atom was able to ride of a piece, there are still 19 more to go. At the private bank, Hunter and White Canary have been made by security. During the fight, Hunter stops White Canary before she kills the last banker. Back on the ship, Hunter and White Canary argue over her bloodlust, whether she is a monster.

Captain Cold and Heat Wave convince Firestorm to join them on their joy ride. Haunted by failure, the Atom has doubts he can save Hawkgirl. During the interrogation, White Canary hears about Hunter's previous attempt to kill him. Hunger hesitated and couldn't murder Savage.  

Heat Wave tries to convince Captain Cold not to go back and meet his father; alter the timeline. Stein actually remembers the Atom from his classroom; who made him feel inferior. The Atom remembers when he lost his fiancee. Hunter and White Hunter use the banker to take them to the Vessel. 

Returning home, Captain Cold meets his younger self. He tells himself not to let anyone hurt him. His own father points a gun at the back of his head. He convince his father not to pull the trigger. Firestorm wonders if Captain Cold changed something from his past.

During the ballroom dance, White Canary beats up the guards and find Hawkman's dead body. Back in Hawkgirl's bloodstream, The Atom blasts away at the remaining fragments, saving Hawkgirl's life. Unfortunately, Stein was lying all along that he knew Ray Palmer.

During a cult ceremony, Savage meets and remembers Hunter from before. They witness Savage slitting Hawkman's throat and drinking his blood. His followers drink the blood to live for another 100 years. Savage realizes he took his wife and son; anxious to meet them. 

Firestorm gets the call that Hunter and Canary are in trouble. Heat Wave and Captain Cold storm through the ceremony, shooting everywhere. As Hunter and Savage fight, Rip slits his throat and learns the name of his wife and kid. Savage looks forward to meeting them.  

Despite his intervention, Captain Cold couldn't save his father, who still goes to jail. He joins the rest of the team for Hawkman's funeral. The group is now heading towards the '80s
