USA's 'Colony' Spoilers: Twitter Reacts Sarah Wayne Callies, Kathy Baker Phyllis Shocker!

Created by executive producers Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Ryan J. Condal (Hercules), USA Network continues Colony. Twitter had lots to say about Will (Josh Holloway) and Katie Bowman (Sarah Wayne Callies) witnessing Phyllis' (Kathy Baker) shocking twist. 

As we previously mentioned, Colony is set in the near future of Los Angeles, after the invasion has taken over. There are those who collaborate and those who resist their new world order. Before a rebel terrorist  attack ruined his plans, Will (Holloway) was trying to cross the wall, in order to find his missing son. Because Will was an FBI agent, Snyder (Peter Jacobson) offers Katie (Callies) and her husband a chance to find the leader of the resistance, in return for their missing child. Unbeknownst to her husband, as he collaborates, Katie has actually been working for the resistance the entire time.  

In our recent recap, though the resistance faked a fire bombing at her house, Katie was interrogated by Phyllis. Though Will had arrested Geronimo, he was not the resistance leader. With photos of her working with the resistance, Katie was now working for Phyllis. After a long way, Phyllis and her husband were gunned down by Broussard (Tory Kittles).

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Cuse explains why Phyllis had to die, "The story of Phyllis sets in motion a whole bunch of significant events. It puts a whole lot of pressure on Proxy Snyder to find Geronimo and get a handle on the Resistance. They made an incursion into the Green Zone and killed a very important person, so it amps up the stakes and puts the pressure on him to figure out what's going on and solve the problem."
