Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans recently had to make a 911 call against baby daddy Nathan Griffith after he allegedly took a car with her belongings in it without her knowledge. The MTV star decided to press charges leading to Nathan turning himself in to the police.
"He came in at about 10 AM," Lt. Jerry Brewer of the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office told Radar Online. "He did come with his attorney."
"He's not being held," he continued. "He didn't get a bond. Technically he was taken into custody to go in front of the magistrate, but the magistrate just made him sign a promissory note."

According to Nathan's lawyer Megan Milliken, the warrant for his arrest was made by Jenelle and not through the state.
"North Carolina is one of just a few jurisdictions in the United States where a private citizen can go to a magistrate and obtain a warrant on another private citizen," she told the gossip site. "That is what happened in this case."

"Ms. Evans, after speaking to law enforcement, then went to the New Hanover County Magistrate's office and swore out a warrant," she went on. "What that means is that law enforcement did not issue this warrant. This was something that Jenelle Evans did on her own initiative."
Radar also obtained the military dad's mugshot, which can be seen here. A source also told them that the chances of Nathan going to jail if convicted of the crime are very slim.
"In North Carolina, if he was found guilty or pleads guilty [to the misdemeanor larceny charge], he's facing up to 45 days in jail," according to Radar. "But the reality of the situation, if that's all, he's not going to go jail. They will most likely put him on probation if he is found guilty."
