The Rangers head into Saturday night's game as the no 3 team in the NHL Eastern Atlantic Conference. Ottawa snags the overall no 16 spot in the division, with a 16-14-3 record. According to ESPN sports columnist Pierre LeBrun, "Losses to Florida and Washington once again bring panic to the hearts of Rangers fans."
The Canadiens snag the no 1 spot in the NHL Eastern Northeast Conference, and the no 4 overall spot with a 21-7-5 record (out of 30 teams). As LeBrun points out, "The Canadiens can make a statement this week, with a shot at ending the Penguins' 12-game win streak Tuesday in Pittsburgh and then facing the rival Bruins at Boston on Wednesday with first place in the Northeast on the line. Heck of a week for the Habs.
The game will be broadcasted live on local channels CBC, MSG, RDS, and NHLN-US, but fans can also listen in on the radio at ESPN 98.7 FM, TSN Radio, and 98,5 FM.
