After directing Hrithik Roshan in the 2008 epic drama film, Jodhaa Akbhar, the duo is back with another period drama film, Mohenjo Daro. The shooting of the film was recently delayed when Roshan suffered an injury on the set. The recent reports suggest that the shooting schedule of the film will be delayed further as Roshan's director and physicians have advised him to take a rest for another five weeks.
According to online daily, Spotboye, while shooting for Mohenjo Daro, Roshan tore a ligament and the actor was earlier advised a bed rest for a minimum of four weeks. The production team was expecting to resume the shooting from mid-February 2016 but from the recent updates on Roshan's health, it looks like Gowariker and his production team has to wait for another five weeks as there is no improvement in Roshan's health.
In an exclusive interview with PinkVilla, Roshan's father Rakesh Roshan confirmed the news by saying that the Bang Bang star has been asked to take rest for four weeks. It was also reported that the shooting of Mohenjo Daro had to postpone before in 2014 when the star injured his shoulder during a workout session.
Roshan tweeted, "Had a lovely fall 2day.Tore a ligament. Curious bout hw Im going 2 hv a fun time healing n working next few weeks. #imagination #makeitwork."

The production team has yet to finish the last schedule of Mohenjo Daro and the critically acclaimed director still needs to shoot roughly 20 percent of the film. Now it looks like the Lagaan director has to wait until March, following which the star will resume shooting.
According to Bollyspice, the film is set in the Indus Valley Civilization that dates back to 2600 BC. The period drama film was earlier slated to release on Aug. 12, 2016 but based on Roshan's health, there are chances that film's release date will be pushed to September or October 2016.
