Rumors have it that One Direction crooner Harry Styles is secretly "recording his own songs" in hopes of releasing a solo album... at least according to a recent report in UK's "The Mirror." Although the mega-popular boy band remains Styles' top priority, he's apparently ready to begin branching out on his own. In fact, he's already working on early versions of some songs alongside "The A Team" star Ed Sheeran. Do fans believe the rumors?
An alleged inside source for "The Mirror" claims, "He loves messing around with some of the new songs he's been working on." Styles' "close pal" continues, "He's bounced some ideas off his friend Ed Sheeran and has already laid down some vocals."
The tabloid goes on to explain that Styles and Sheeran have "co-written several of the numbers" for the British pop star's supposed "solo album." The duo's already "worked on early versions of the songs during visits to the renowned Paramount recording studio in Hollywood."
But the gossip tabloid attempts to appease loyal One Directioners - Styles' work with the "What Makes You Beautiful" superstars still remains his top priority... for now. Allegedly, "when he decides the time to go solo has arrived, he's likely to have a project raring to go."
For those fans totally freaking out... time to take a deep breath. Gossip Cop got in touch with a legit inside source, who claims that the "solo album" allegations are totally untrue. The rep explains, "the boys are all recording the new album [and] sometimes they have separate sessions."
So what do Mstars readers think about new One Direction music AND solo side-projects?
