Zayn Malik Boxing? One Direction Star Talks About Getting Into Fighting, Solo Career, Harry Styles Working on Solo Album Rumors, 1D Breaking Up News?

One Direction star Zayn Malik is speaking out about his future in the music industry, other occupations, and a possible solo career. The 1D star just recently revealed that he wants to become a boxer. There have been plenty of rumors surrounding One Direction and the boy band members' future. If the band breaks up, will Malik really get into fighting?

According to the Daily Star, Malik has already started practicing boxing. If rumors of a One Direction break up ever come to fruition, Malik wants to have another career ready to go. Unlike Harry Styles, who is rumored to already be working on a solo album, Malik would leave the music industry all together.

Malik told the Daily Star, "I did boxing from when I was 15 to 17. I love it and I've started training again now on the side, even though we don't get much time off for exercise." By the sounds of it, Malik is serious about attempting to become a boxer one day. "I'm trying to eat healthier so I can bulk up," Malik says. "I'd love to pursue it properly one day."

This is goes along with a recent story from MTV News UK, where they reported Malik said he would never be able to become a solo music star. Malik reportedly told the Daily Star, "I would have cracked up and gone home by now. There's defo no way I could have done this as a solo artist." It sounds like Malik may not be able to venture out on his own in music if One Direction were to eventually break up. The same probably can't be said for fellow band member Harry Styles who is already working on a solo album.

The Daily Mail speculated that Styles could have been in the studio recording music for a solo album recently, but those allegations were quickly shot down. A spokesperson for the band told The Daily Mail, "Harry is not recording solo material. All of the band are working on tracks for their third album. Harry is putting together some ideas for the record. The boys sometimes work up ideas separately as well as working together, as they did last year. Niall for example recently collaborated with Tom and Dougie from McFly on new tracks."

Despite solo album rumors being shot down, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if Styles eventually went off on his own solo adventures. Styles is the biggest name of One Direction and may have the most potential. It would be hard to turn down a solo career after seeing the type of success former boy band member Justin Timberlake has had on his own.
