The Rolling Stones tour rumors for their upcoming 2013 world tour have been speeding up again with news that the band will be playing the Glastonbury Festival this summer. The latest news; however, surrounds the impending announcement for their 2013 tour plans. We have covered the rumored start dates and possible locations for the band's latest tour, as well as the promoters who have negotiated for the honor of promoting the legendary rock band's latest tour. The most recent news is coming from the band themselves. An announcement could be happening this Wednesday April 3.
Okay, so Mick Jagger spilled the beans about the band playing this June 29 at the 2013 Glastonbury Festival when he tweeted last Wednesday March 27, "Can't wait to play Glastonbury. I have my wellies and my yurt!" Obviously this was great news for fans going to the festival and Rolling Stones fans in general. It also looks like the legendary rock singer is taking suggestions for the set list. On Friday Jagger tweeted, "Thanks for all your tweets about Glastonbury. I was thinking about the set list...Any ideas on that?" If you have any ideas be sure to tweet @MickJagger on Twitter.
Meanwhile, with all the excitement surrounding the band's Glastonbury Festival annoucement, we can't forget the Rolling Stones have a rumored world tour in the works as well. On the band's website on Friday they wrote, "5 DAYS AND COUNTING..." As of today, Monday April 1, we are at "2 DAYS AND COUNTING." Unless the band plans on playing an April fools joke on its fans, it sounds like they may have some big news regarding their 2013 world tour. Even better, it will be coming from the band themselves, so at least we know it will be confirmed and not just a rumor.
