According to NewsOK, the 44-year-old mother-of-five was traveling with three of her children near Oklahoma City around 8 p.m. Tuesday when her vehicle was struck head-on by a car that had crossed the center of the roadway. The driver that car, Susannah Donaldson, 52, was pronounced dead at the scene of the car crash. Donaldson's dog had been riding on her lap and was also killed. A third vehicle, driven by Mai Nguyen, 59, was also hit by Donaldson's car, but suffered no injuries.
Williams was sent to OU Medical Center and treated for life-threatening injuries, but didn't make it. She passed on Wednesday morning.
This is coach Williams' first year with the Thunder team. Before that, he was the head coach of the New Orleans Pelicans from 2010 to 2015. The Thunder will take on the Pelicans on Thursday night.
