Lollapalooza 2013 Lineup Announced: Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, Mumford and Sons, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend And Others Confirmed For Festival

The Lollapalooza 2013 Lineup was just announced and it looks spectacular. (When Queens Of The Stone Age and Kendrick Lamar are on the 3rd and 4th line, your bill is officially stacked). Big names include The Cure, Mumford and Sons, The Killers, Nine Inch Nails, Phoenix and Vampire Weekend.

On the "not quite a headliner" yet tier we have: Ellie Goulding, Two Door Cinema Club, Imagine Dragons, Grizzly Bear, Band of Horses, Hot Chip, The National, Emile Sande, Tegan and Sara, Lana Del Ray and festival veterans Major Lazer.

On the Indie-Alt side there's Local Natives, Cat Power, Foals, (the seemingly hated) Alt-J, Matt & Kim, Smith Westerns, The Vaccines, Father John Misty, Wild Nothing, HAIM, Icona Pop, Jessie Ware, Wavves, Jake Bugg, Wild Belle, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, The Orwells, Palma Violets, The Neighborhood, The Mowgli's, DIIV, Blondfire, Guards and Wake Owl.

Rap offerings are sparse with Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, Theophilus London, Angel Haze, Chance the Rapper and Death Grips. However, for Lollapalooza, even these few offerings are a sign of progress.

EDM is out in force as it has been since the festival started dedicating a stage (Perry's) solely to dance music. Guests include viral "Harlem Shake" hitmaker Baauer, GriZ, Disclosure, Keys N Krates and Modestep.

Legacy acts include New Order and The Cure.

Interesting addition: Swedish heavy metal band Ghost. This band has gained quite a reputation for thier onstage theatrics (5 member of the 6-piece wear hoods and masks while the lead singer wears a full skull mask and a cardinal outfit) as well as thier secrecy (none of the band members will admit thier real name, going under the collective moniker of "Nameless Ghouls").
