Finally, after months of anticipation, the first teaser for this year's all-female Ghostbusters  3 reboot is here, and it asks a question fans of the original 80's movie (and the time's pop music) will answer with joy: "Who You Gonna Call?" The new teaser for Paul Feig's reboot features an important element: the release date of the first full-length trailer!

According to Vanity Fair, the new teaser was released on the most appropriate of times: the supposed day where the world was going to end, February 14, 2016, as a psychic prophesized in Ghostbusters 2. As a result, the newly released footage of the upcoming comedy about ladies fighting ghosts in New York City looks far grittier than fans would expect it to be.

Director Feig took to Twitter to share the new teaser, also setting things up for the last day of our planet by sharing R.E.M.'s "It's the End of the World" teaser.

Last year, Feig spoke to Coming Soon about his plans for the reboot (which he describes as "a new origin story"), when he spoke of how he came up with the idea of a sequel with some of his favorite actresses.

"I thought, "You know, if I could do this with the funny women I know and kind of just do a new origin story..." I'm more interested in what would happen today. You know, you see things on TV about ghosts, but none of it's real," Feig told the outlet. "What if, suddenly, something started happening? What happens when that just begins to happen to people? Also, how do they develop their technology? It's not as fun if they're just handed their proton packs. It's why it's not as fun to do a sequel. The fun is getting there."

The Ghostbusters reboot has met with some controversy over all-female take on the ghost-busting team in New York City, as it stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones in the roles of the core group. Original stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Sigourney Weaver are also set to make cameos (Aykroyd even co-wrote the script).

New additions to the cast include Chris Hemsworth as a sexy and objectified male secretary and Andy Garcia as the city's mayor.
