Jill Scott-the singer/songwriter, the actress, and the mom!  Philadelphia's own Jill Scott and her adorable son Jett Hamilton Roberts grace the May 2013 cover of Ebony Magazine in their best pastels and spring looks.

Scott, who is the currently focusing on her acting career as the star of CBS pilot, "Second Light," talked to Ebony about being a single mother, sexy in her own skin, and teaching her son about being a man.

"It's challenging being a single mom...No matter what I do, I'll never be a man. Ever. I can show Jett how to be a thinker, how to enjoy music or how to feel, and to conquer. But I cannot show him how to be a man," Scott told Ebony.

Scott is one of the curvier songstress and while many find revealing to be sexier, Scott said, "My mother told me... 'It's what you don't do that makes you sexy moreso than what you do."

Jill and Jett's Ebony cover will go on sale April 16th.
