Over the past few years, "Celebrities Read Mean Tweets" has turned into one of the most popular segments of Jimmy Kimmel Live, and there are numerous different editions of famous people reading what awful people write about them online. The latest edition, dedicated to the 2016 Grammy Awards and therefore only involving musicians, gets some hilarious reactions!
According to Hollywood Life, some of the biggest names in music were roasted on last Monday's episode of Kimmel's show, as he paid homage to the biggest night in the music business, inviting some of the people who were scheduled to perform on Monday.
Of course, the majority of the "Mean Tweets" segments, except for that one week last year, are pre-recorded, so there was no danger of any of the big names being too bummed out to perform at the Grammys.
The full list of roasted artists in the "Mean Tweets - Music Edition #3" clip goes as follows: Meghan Trainor, Ricky Martin, James Taylor, Little Big Town, Common, Ed Sheeran, Kelly Clarkson, Charlie Wilson, Blake Shelton, Wiz Khalifa, Josh Groban, Demi Lovato, The Killers, Drake, One Direction, Lionel Richie, Rita Ora and Mumford & Sons.
While the reactions in this particular clip aren't as great as others have been in the past, some of the stars were fairly good sports, either laughed, or agreed with the comments that had been written about them. For example, the guys from Mumford & Sons burst into laughter when they read that someone had been transported by their music -- in the sense that he was going somewhere else because they were playing one of their songs.
As Entertainment Weekly reports, this is only the latest edition of this popular segment, and many of the biggest names in music (and altogether show business) have already gone on the late-night show to read the awful things other people write about them. In the past, other music powerhouses who have gone on the segment have included Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Sam Smith.
