Sushant Singh Rajput, like many of his counterparts, began his acting career from the small screen. He appeared on a daily soap Pavitra Rishta and tried his hand at reality shows too, which earned him his first break in Bollywood. Rajput has a huge lineup of films for coming years but admits to losing 12 major Bollywood films that would have taken the graph of his career to another level.
Rajput had first signed on to Rajkumar Hirani's mega blockbuster PK, opposite Anushka Sharma and Aamir Khan, but it was Abhishek Kapoor's Kai Po Che" that eventually became his launch vehicle. Despite putting in only three years in the industry, the youngster is achieving great heights with huge projects in his laps.
Rajput is being considered for different mega projects, where directors have roles tailor-made for him. According to Bollywood Life, Shuddh Desi Romance actor admitted recently that he lost out on a dozen films last year due to several reasons. Rajput, whose upcoming biographical film Dhoni: The Untold Story has recently completed its shooting schedule, was earlier supposed to play the lead roles opposite Katrina Kaif in Fitoor and Shraddha Kapoor in Half Girlfriend different films. But due to certain reasons, he had to part ways with the filmmakers.
Fitoor starring Kaif was first offered to Rajput before casting Aditya Roy Kapur. But the project got delayed by some months and Rajput had to call it quits. His stint opposite Shraddha in Mohit Suri's directorial Half Girlfriend" too, was short-lived since the project got put off for a while for undisclosed circumstances. Stating such reasons, Singh Rajput said that he lost some 12 movies in the span of one year, but is happy with the way his career is shaping up.
Apart from professional endeavors, Rajput is doing exceptionally well in his personal life. Rajput, who has been in a live-in relationship with his Pavitra Rishta co-star Ankita Lokhande for quite some time now, revealed that 2016 will be the year when the duo will take their relationship to the next level.
According to Times of India, Rajput, who was seen proposing to Lokhande on a reality show, was running on a tight schedule and hence marriage was in the backburner for them. Now relatively free, he revealed that he will settle down with his lady love by the end of the year 2016.
