Tell me if you've heard this one before. Freddie Mercury and Princess Diana walk into a gay bar...Except this isn't a joke. According to comedian Cleo Rocos new memoir "The Power of Positive Drinking," Freddie Mercury and Princess Diana (along with Rocos and television personality Kenny Everett) went drinking at notorious London gay bar the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, the latter disguised as a man. And the kicker? No one recognized the uber-famous royal.

"When we walked in...We felt she was so obviously Princess Diana, she would be discovered at any minute," Rocos wrote. "'But people seemed to blank her. She sort of disappeared but she loved it."

"...It was fabulously outrageous and so bizarrely exciting. Our hearts pounded with every new leather-clad hairy body that approached, but no one, absolutely no one, recognized Diana."

The threesome originally tried to turn Diana off of the idea of going to the gay club, before disguising her in a military jacket, cap and sunglasses.

''Now this was not a good idea. 'It's not for you,' said Kenny, 'It's full of hairy gay men. Sometimes there are fights outside.' This didn't put her off in the slightest,'' Rocos wrote.

Rocos claims that Diana "did look like a beautiful young man.'' However, there are no ways to confirm the report. Both Mercury and Everett later passed away due to complications from AIDS and Princess Diana died in a 1997 car crash that many believe was caused by relentless paparazzi trying to snap photos of the royal family member.

I, for one, like to believe that the world is awesome enough for a story like this to be true.

What do you think? Did Princess Diana and Freddie Mercury really visit a gay bar together with Diana disguised as a man?
