'Julie 2' Movie Update: Raai Lakshmi Looking Hot & Sexy In First Released Poster [PHOTO]

Neha Dhupia starrer erotic thriller Julie was released in 2004 and now the director, Deepak Shivdasani is back with the sequel. According to recent updates, Julie 2 will star South Indian actress, Raai Lakshmi, in the titular role. The makers recently released the first poster for the movie, which presents Lakshmi looking all hot and sexy.

According to DNA India, the sexy Southern siren Lakshmi, who is making her debut in mainstream Bollywood with this fil. And she is all excited about her upcoming venture. In the sizzling poster, the petite actress is seen baring her back, covered in a transparent white negligee, leaving little to the imagination for the viewer.

Dhupia starrer Julie followed the story of Julie from Goa, who gets dumped by her boyfriend and has moved to Mumbai where she is sexually abused by her boss. The entire story follows her journey from heartbreak and how she regains her faith in love and in her life.

Those who have watched Julie might get a rough idea of the story from the poster, but Shivdasani claims it to be different. The tagline of the film says "Bold, Beautiful and Blessed." It is best left for the viewers to decide what the story will have to offer. The first look of the movie was launched on the eve of Valentine's Day and it created quite a buzz.

Meanwhile, according to Indian Express, Lakshmi is also geared up to play a friendly appearance in AR Murugadoss' Akira, featuring Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role. Lakshmi is thrilled to be on board the project since the film will also feature ace director Anurag Kashyap as the main villain. She took to Twitter to announce her fans about her second Bollywood film with Murugadoss.

Julie 2 will hit screens on Aug. 12, 2016, and audiences who had loved the Dhupia and Priyanshu Chatterjee starrer prequel, will wait eagerly for this steamy thriller to release on the big screen. The film will release simultaneously in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam.
