Recently, Star Jones penned Satan's Sisters, a fictionalized version of her time on the long-running morning talk show The View, but that's not the end of the road for those rocky times -- the book is being turned into a VH1 series!

Jones was one of the original panel members of the often controversial show and her nine-year tenure was not without its controversy.

According to The Wrap, the basic cable network officially announced they'd picked up Jones' story last Thursday, and the hour-long drama is set to begin airing sometime in 2017.

As the project has only just been confirmed, there are no announcements regarding cast members yet; however, the people involved at this phase include Sony Pictures co-producing, as well as executive producers Jones, Susan Levinson, Suzanne DePasse, Josh Berman and Madison Jones, along with Amy Engelberg and Wendy Engelberg, both of whom will also be writing episodes.

The plot of the upcoming series is quite transparent regarding its true colors. The drama will follow the events inside production of The Lunch Hour, a female-centric talk show with five hosts called The Lunch Hour, which is presented as "a long-running, popular ladies' talk show in which alliances are forged, careers are made, and bridges are burned."

"I'm so excited that Satan's Sisters, which was such a fun book to write, is finally coming to the small screen," Jones said in a statement to Variety. "I would be lying if I said that Satan's Sisters wasn't influenced by the soap opera life of daytime TV, but it is a work of fiction. All the characters are inspired, in parts, by someone I've worked with, worked for, interviewed, was interviewed by and/or even prosecuted."

Jones very publicly feuded with Barbara Walters for years, claiming that she left the show when her contract wasn't renewed following a dismissal that Walters wanted to keep under wraps.
