Warner Bros. aired the premiere of an all-new trailer of the super-villain team, Suicide Squad. Before the upcoming Task Force X movie, How To Get Away With Murder actress Viola Davis (Amanda "The Wall" Waller) discusses "the horrific gifts" sent to her by Jared Leto (The Joker) and Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn).
As we previously mentioned, when the government has a mission too hot for the superheroes to handle, they send in the bad guys to take care of the business. In a plot reminiscent of The Dirty Dozen, if the Suicide Squad - which includes the captured band of super-villains Harley Quinn, Deadshot, and Captain Boomerang - survives their deadly mission, their prison sentence will then be reduced.
The lineup also includes Will Smith (Deadshot), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress) in writer/director David Ayer (End of Watch)'s upcoming comic book movie made up of DC Universe's notorious and deadliest villains.
In Vanity Fair's video interview, as transcribed by Comic Book, the Blackhat actress dishes on the behind-the-scenes antics from the Academy award winning Dallas Buyers Club actor, The Joker, he did some bad things. Jared Leto did. He gave some really horrific gifts. He had henchmen that would come into the rehearsal room and the henchmen came in with a dead pig and plopped it on the table, then he walked out. And that was our introduction into Jared Leto. "
Davis continues about Leto's madness, revealing it helped step her performance in the flick, ""Now I'm terrified as a person thinking 'Is he crazy?' but the second part was 'Oh shit! I got to have my stuff together.' You talk about commitment and then he sends Margot Robbie a black rat. It was still alive in a box, she screamed, and then she kept it."
