Will 'XXX 3: The Return of Xander Cage' Deepika Padukone Join 'Kaabil' Actor Hrithik Roshan?

A new pairing is whispered to be signed for a Bollywood project. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala plans to rope in the XXX 3 actress Deepika Padukone and Kaabil actor Hrithik Roshan for his next project with the Bajrangi Bhaijaan famed director Kabir Khan.

"Sajid has been quite keen to work with Deepika. But that hasn't worked out due to several issues. However, there are chances that Deepika might sign up for his next production with Kabir," a source said to DNA India.

Padukone is currently shooting for her first Hollywood project XXX: The Return of Xander Cage opposite actor Vin Diesel in Toronto. After her last Bollywood film Bajirao Mastani, the actress hasn't signed any Bollywood project till now and intends to to stay that way until she returns to India after completing the shoot of XXX 3.

It was earlier reported by MStars News that, Roshan is on a break these days after he injured himself during the shoot of his periodic film Mohenjo Daro. Roshan's doctor has suggested him a complete rest of four weeks, so there are chances that he will begin shooting only by the end of February. His injury has also delayed the shoot of his next project Kaabil, a love-revenge drama which will be directed by Sanjay Gupta and produced by his father, Rakesh Roshan.

There were speculations in 2015 that Padukone and Roshan will share the screen in Aashiqui 3 but nothing materialized at that moment about the musical romantic film.

As both the actors are busy with their respective film projects, nothing has been officially confirmed. Besides, there were plans of signing actress Kangana Ranaut for Khan's project. However, her ugly banter with Roshan turned out to be negative for her. As quoted by IBTimes, a source said, "It is an elementary calculation. You badmouth a top hero you get ostracized not just by the hero but all his friends. Kangna had earlier taken on Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt during the shooting of David Dhawan's Rascal. She has also got into the bad books of Shahid Kapoor, though he is doing Rangoon, her only project on the floors, with her now."

If Padukone and Roshan are signed, then it will be the first time when they will share screen on 70mm.
