People simply cannot get enough of Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds' alter ego has been ruling the box office numbers since his film premiered two weeks ago, Now fans are rallying to see more of the Merc with a Mouth on TV! But will Deadpool ever host Saturday Night Live?

Last week, a petition was started to have Deadpool appear as the host of SNL. However, fans are signing the petition not to see Reynolds on the NBC show, but rather to see his chimichanga-loving character as the host.

It may seem like a brilliant idea since the potty-mouthed Deadpool has a tendency to make pop culture references and obliterate the fourth wall. But what does Reynolds have to say about it? The actor recently reacted to the petition with an expletive-filled video featuring Deadpool's response.

The clip, which Reynolds shared on Twitter, is a direct parody of Kanye West's meltdown backstage during his recent appearance on SNL. The ranting targets SNL creator Lorne Michaels and Rip Taylor before Deadpool boasts about getting the biggest opening for an R-rated movie of all time. He then continues by saying he is 50% more influential than MC Hammer, 10% more than Barbara Bush, 60% more than the iPhone 5 and 3% more than Wolverine.

The Change.org petition already has more than 50,000 signatures, so it will only be a matter of time before SNL mans up and invites Deadpool to host the show. However, the show has yet to comment on either the petition or Reynolds' Deadpool rant.

In addition to raking up $132.7 million on its opening weekend, Deadpool has earned another $55 million in domestic sales during its second week. The film is close to reaching $500 million in worldwide ticket sales.
