Oklahoma City Thunders, Russell Westbrook's wife, Nina Mari Earl probably ruffled some feathers after she took notes and some of the words from fellow basketball wife, Ayesha Curry [Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry's wife], about women having respect for themselves.
After writing the question: "What happened to the good old days when leaving the house with little to no clothes on was a tad bit shameful?" Mrs. Westbrook found her followers debating on the topic just like Curry did a few months ago.
Ladies... I cannot express how important the notion of respect is to me and for us as women. We HAVE to love and respect ourselves FIRST. In doing so, we will then gain the respect of others. I am dedicated to continuing to prove that it is possible to respect yourself, strive towards your goals, and live your dreams all at the same time. Let's get back to the good old days. #selfloveisthebestlove #selfrespected A photo posted by Nina Westbrook (@ninaamarie_w) on Feb 22, 2016 at 9:17am PST

Some of Earl's Instagram followers wrote the replies seen below:
sarahxbond "respecting one's self does not mean that you will necessarily be respected by others. you should respect someone regardless of what they're wearing. being proud of your body and having enough confidence to show it off of is self love and respect. many women are disrespected everyday with sweats just as much as ones with short skirts."
zwhite1914@ninaamarie_w "Thank you. I support your movement. A lady should be presentable in public and responsible with what kind of attention she attracts in her dress. Thank you"
prettynikki33 "Lmaooooo @britneyisland seems to me like people should worry about themselves and let others do them."
paschanista "I can show a little cleavage or wear a tight dress and still have self-respect. There's an assumption that all women dress for men and that's not always the case. I'm into fashion, so I dress for me and my interests. That might include showing some skin on occasion. If this about a married man ogling goodies that aren't yours, your man is the problem not the woman's outfit."
cincturtle@muosmn "she needs to worry about her d*mn self"
Back in December Curry tweeted: "Just looking at the latest fashion trends. I'll take classy over trendy any day of the week." She claimed that trendy was too revealing at times.

MStars News wants to know, why do you think the basketball wives are starting to speak up about a woman's dress code?
Do you think they are trying to give advice? Or do you think that women do dress too sexy to gain the wrong attention from men? Do you think the way women dress has anything to do with their respect levels?
We want to know, do you agree or disagree with Earl and Curry? Should women keep their goodies covered up?
