Jay-Z has has been working on the soundtrack for "The Great Gatsby" along with director Baz Luhrmann and we're just now getting our first look at the tracklist. As we told you yesterday, there is indeed a Beyonce/Andre 3000 cover of Amy Winehouse's "Back To Black." However, the soundtrack also features notable contributions from Florence + The Machine, The xx, Gotye and Lana Del Rey.
According to a press release, the goal of the soundtrack was "translating the Jazz Age sensibility of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel into the musical equivalents of our own times, through the blending of hip-hop, traditional jazz and other contemporary musical textures."
Check out the tracklist below and decide for yourself whether you think Jay-Z and Baz Luhrmann nailed it.
