Fans were understandably excited when they heard news that Will Ferrell was reprising his role as San Diego TV news host Ron Burgundy in “Anchorman 2” this winter. They may be even more excited to find out there are a number of big name stars set to make cameo’s in “Anchorman: The Legend Continues”, set to hit theaters December 20, 2013. The Adam McKay directed film will reportedly feature cameos from stars such as Harrison Ford, Nicole Kidman, Kristen Wiig, Greg Kinnear, and John C. Reilly.
There is even more good news for “Anchorman” fans. Besides Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate will also be returning for the sequel. The comedy is sure to be a blockbuster, as all the stars are signing up to make an appearance.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson will also make appearances in the sequel, just as they did in the original, when they played rival newsmen. Kidman is certainly a surprising cast in the movie, but maybe even more surprising was the previously leaked news that Harrison Ford would be in the movie. The “Indiana Jones” actor isn’t known for acting in too many comedies.
Ford will reportedly be playing an older newsperson that could possibly be playing the mentor role for Ferrell’s Ron Burgundy. Either way, this film is shaking up to be quite the comedy blockbuster. The movie already has a number of “A” list celebrities making cameos along with its hilarious cast.
