'Gotham' S02E12: 'Mr. Freeze'' Ben Mckenzie, Morena Baccarin Premiere Recap!

Fox continues Season 2 of the Batman prequel series, Gotham. In Episode 11, will Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Leslie Thompkins (Morena Baccarin) discover Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) is worse than Mr. Freeze?

With the Penguin in custody, Captain Nathaniel Barnes (Michael Chiklis) wants to know what he and Jim did together. Barnes expects Penguin to squeal but the former mob boss refuses to to give up what happened to Theo Galavan.

While Jim Gordon is covering his tracks, Butch (Drew Powell) has now become the interim crime lord. The position is sweetened with the romantic partnership with Galavan's sister, Tabitha (Jessica Lucas). A new vaillain rises, freezing his victims.

In the precinct, Edward Nygma (Corey Michael Smith) tries to meet with Penguin. Speaking low in his cell, Penguin makes a last request to Nygma; take care of my mother's ashes. Nygma cannot do anything for his friend as as he is taken straight to Arkham Asylum. 

Penguin meets with Dr. Hugo Strange (BD Wong), who attempts to psycho-analyze him. At the cafeteria, Penguin tries to make it known that he is the king of Gotham. But everyone in the insane asylum keeps repeating that they're the king. 

In the lab, Victor Fries tries to find the cure for his wife's illness. Unfortunately, just when Victor thinks he has solved the problem, his patient ends up melting on the table. Still at a loss, actor continues to search for a cure. 

Seeing his wife's mouth covered in blood, Victor races to the pharmacy to refill the prescription. Angry with the pharmacist, Victor pulls the trigger of his freeze ray. On their way to the crime scene, Gordon and Bullock end up crashing into the frozen pharmacist. 

After Victor Fries' wife stumbles upon his lab and finds the frozen patient, she screams and calls for the police. Freeze watches in the background as his wife is taken into custody. Gordon and Bullock then have her confined to the interrogation room. 

Arriving at the precinct, Freeze confesses to the police officer of his crimes but no one believes him. There is a lineup of crazies who want to take credit for the crime. But when notices his patient alive and walking, Freeze promises to rescue his wife.  

Reading over Freeze's notes, Hugo Strange is very interested in learning the science. Hugo is very interested in the man known as Mister Freeze.
