Thursday night, Jamie Lynn Spears decided to send a tweet to Justin Timberlake, reminiscing about the times they spent together when the "Suit and Tie" singer was dating Jamie Lynn's sister, Britney. Unfortunately, the Twitter post in question might have stirred up a lot of drama because the 22-year-old (whose birthday was yesterday) deleted the tweet and posted a new one, this time making sure everyone knew where she stood on the situation.
"@jtimberlake Weird hearing ur music as an Adult," wrote the newly engaged aspiring country singer. "Ha. Not only do I appreciate it. I GET it. #jay #crymeariver #mirror." She also included this grainy photo of Jamie Lynn sitting on Justin's lap while Britney looked on (check out Justin's goatee!):
Most of the controversy stemmed from her hashtag of "Cry Me A River," Timberlake's 2002 hit, which is about his breakup with Britney Spears. Jamie Lynn, who recently became engaged to Jamie Watson, never addressed why she took the tweet down but it is to be assumed that some fans might have said something to her about it. Later, she replaced the tweet with the following:
I hope you all know that my tweets are only to support my sister@britneyspears - anything left over was to @jtimberlake #sisterlove #4eva

It is strange to think that, despite Justin being married to Jessica Biel and Britney in a new relationship with David Lucado, there are definitely still some people out there that have strong opinions about the former couple's romance.
Neither Justin Timberlake nor Britney Spears have responded in any way to Jamie Lynn's tweets. Justine was however on his account around the same time as the original post, wishing his pal Pharrell Williams a happy birthday.
