Country superstar Carrie Underwood has won American Idol, sold untold amounts of albums and regularly sells out arenas, however, she says she would quit and give it all up for her husband, hockey player Mike Fisher.
"If Mike ever told me he needed me to quit, I'd quit," Underwood told People magazine Wednesday. "When you make that promise to somebody, and you stand before God and your family and friends, you've got to do everything that you possibly can to make that work."
Underwood also revealed how the couple keeps their romance alive. The "Blown Away" singer says that they host wine and barbecue nights, text non-stop and go on dates together to Subway.
We called it 'our place' when we were first dating!" Underwood said.
She also let the magazine in on how she keeps her girlish figure- good, old-fashioned competition.
"Even when he's like, 'I'm so out of shape,' he still has a six-pack," she told People. "Having Mike there - I want to be a hot wife!"
Underwood won season 5 of American Idol before releasing her debut album Some Hearts. Some Hearts became the fastest -selling country debut in history on the strength of singles "Before He Cheats" and "Jesus, Take The Wheel." Since then, Underwood has broken the record for most number ones for a female on Billboard's Hot Country Songs Chart with 12 (The record was previously set by Reba McEntire with 10). Underwood has received six Grammys, 16 Billboard Music Awards, 10 Academy of Country Music Awards, five Country Music Association Awards and a Golden Globe. Her albums have sold a combined 45 million units across the globe.
And she's willing to give all of that up for her husband.
