It seems that the box-office might have to encounter panicky weeks. If rumors are to be believed, then actor Aamir Khan is planning to release his much-anticipated film Dangal. The actor intends to release his film during the Independence Day, which also marks the release of two big projects: Hrithik Roshan starrer Mohenjo Daro and Akshay Kumar's Rustom.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal is a sports-based film and exhibits how a father guides his daughters to learn wrestling and motivates them to win medals for their country. The actor believes that as the film enunciates about women empowerment. He plans to release it on August 15.
As quoted by Hindustan Times, a source shared, "In all likelihood, Aamir is going to move the film's release date to the August 15 weekend. Since the movie is almost ready, doing so shouldn't be an issue. He feels that since the film strongly showcases love for the nation, it would be perfect to bring the movie out on Independence Day."
Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker's Mohenjo Daro is an adventure-romantic film featuring Roshan and actress Pooja Hedge. The film is Roshan's second film project with Gowariker, after Jodhaa Akbar. It was during the shooting of the film in January 2016 when Roshan was injured on the set.
Next film to collide on the box-office on the same day is Kumar's Rustom, which is believed to be based on a real story. The film has been directed by debutante Tinu Suresh Desai and has been produced by Special 26 famed director Neeraj Pandey. A few days ago, Kumar had unveiled his first look from the film. It is a romantic thriller set in the '50s, which has been shot in India and Britain.
Since all the three films have A-list actors in it, the audience is going to be in a fix to choose the film or actor they want to see.
