In a recent interview with Shade 45 radio DJ Sway Calloway, Chris Brown opens up about the first-time encounter between his now ex-flame Karrueche Tran and current beau Rihanna in Cannes, France last summer. Breezy was still dating Tran at the time, although he eventually broke things off in October to rekindle a romantic relationship with RiRi. According to Brown, the random girlfriend/ex-girlfriend run-in wasn't confrontational or awkward in any way. Although the stunning brunette model insists that she and the "Diamonds" songstress will most likely never become friends, Breezy claims that things between him and his ex are now "cool." Read on for more details!
Brown tells the popular NY radio/TV personality that the controversial trio (Breezy, RiRi, and Tran) all showed up to the same party in Cannes last summer unexpected. It was the first time Rihanna and Tran were together. Although Brown expected a big scene and showdown between his two feuding leading ladies, he reveals that everything went smoothly:
"One time I was overseas... in Cannes... I had a girlfriend (Tran) but I was still talking to Rihanna... (There was) a party on this big boat and my girl was there, and maybe 15 minutes later, Rihanna showed up. But I'm on the boat like, 'Oh, sh#t, what am I gonna do right now?' But you know what? They were cool. They spoke to each other and I was like, 'Woah'. I was just like, 'Please, please, please (don't start a scene)', but honestly that was the first time I can say I knew they loved me because they were classy."
Now that Brown is in a committed relationship ONLY with Rihanna, all the drama has since cooled down. As Breezy explains about his friendship with Tran, "We're cool man. I wish it could be better because of obvious reasons, but I think it's better to see her happy and successful... She still does the clothing line with me, so it's still a camaraderie between us..."
Apparently Brown spending so much time with his ex doesn't make RiRi jealous...
The "Don't Wake Me Up" crooner and his ex-GF might be "cool," but that doesn't mean Tran's about to buddy up with Rihanna:
"For everybody, emotionally, that would just be way too much. I'm a very mature person so if the time ever did come where we would need to sit down and talk, I'd do it," Tran told Vibe magazine earlier this year. "I'm a mature person. I can work it out but that would be a lot. Yeah, it would be a lot."
But apparently Tran has moved on from all the heartbreak... with a famous NBA baller! Read more on those rumors here!
