New details have emerged about the tragic death of Blackberry Farm owner, Sam Beall. Beall died from blunt force trauma to his chest during while skiing last week.

According to the coroner, Kara Bettis: "Sam died of blunt force trauma to the chest and was an accidental death,” she added, “He was wearing a helmet.”

The Denver Post claimed that the person with Beall didn't see the incident. "It wasn't witnessed," Bettis revealed. "The person he was with didn't see it happen."

MStars News previously reported that the Farm owner died during a ski accident at Beaver Creek on Feb. 25. The father of five took over the farm after his mother, Kreis Beall, adding several activities and restaurants to the home which was turned into an vacation hot spot.

Blackberry Farm confirmed Beall's death in a statement last Friday. "The Beall family and the Blackberry Farm team are understandably shocked by this heartbreaking news about the man they loved dearly as a son, brother, father, friend and host," Blackberry Farm said in a release. "They welcome the thoughts and prayers of all those whose lives were touched by Sam's hospitable nature, visionary leadership and adventurous spirit."

The family ask that everyone who wants to send something to donate to the Blackberry Farm Foundation in honor of Beall's memory.

The incident is still under investigation by the Eagle County Sheriff's Office. A spokesperson revealed that a report would probably be released sometime next week.
