Seattle Seahawks safety, Kam Chancellor is speaking out after gym workers called the police on him and his friends earlier this week. After learning what was said on the 911 call, Chancellor claimed that he was glad that to know the truth, thanking the lord. According to ESPN, Chancellor claims that the lady that called the cops on him looked at him "evil" while he was asking for details about a gym that he was interesting in possibly buying.
The gym that the football star was wanting information on is the Redmond Athletics Club, which was recently closed. After not getting an answer at the door, Chancellor and his friends decided to take a few snapshots of the building to keep in mind for a possible purchase.
When they finally gained a woman's attention in the gym, Chancellor said that's when things went downhill. "The first thing the lady did was look at us with an evil, devil look and shooed us off," Chancellor described. "We were like, 'Can we just get information? That's all.' We don't want to do anything else but get information. We didn't knock on the door anymore after that. We just waved them like, 'Could you please come here?' But they decided to stand 10 to 15 yards away behind a desk, saying, 'We're going to call the cops.'"
Scared, the gym worker believed that Chancellor was a homeless kid. "I don't know if they're homeless kids. I know that there used to be a lot of heroin addicts around here." The lady also seemed to believe that he wanted to rob the gym. After the chaos, Chancellor took to Twitter and claimed that he wouldn't be considering adding a gym to the area.
I guess I won't put a gym in Redmond then. I'm not qualified. I want to post her face so bad on the phone looking disgusted. — Kameron (@Kam_Chancellor) March 3, 2016
He also tweeted that 911 upset him because it appeared that the workers were judging him by the color of his skin.
The 911 call was all I needed to hear.. Thank you Lord for the truth. Read between the lines.

I'm not speaking for myself anymore. I'm tired of hearing these stories. We are all equal. When we die we go into the same box. — Kameron (@Kam_Chancellor) March 5, 2016
Character over Color.. Let's learn patience and understanding.

On the call, the gym worker described the football star and his friends as "three African Americans and two white subjects." The 911 dispatcher wanted to know more on the black subjects asking the caller, “Can I get further description on the black subjects?”
Becky Range of the Redmond Police Department's public-information coordinator claimed that the communications team asked for a detailed quality review of the call. Range said that examining the call will help out with refining training and improve future 911 calls.
Chancellor is known for working in fitness when he's not on the football field. In the photo below, Chancellor works with youth during a boot camp.
