'Arrested Development' Season 4: Premiere Date Announced for 15 Episodes, Netflix News, 'House of Cards' Second Season, 'Hemlock Grove' Season 1

Despite it being relatively quiet in relation to news for "Arrested Development's" fourth season, there finally has been a release date given for the highly anticipated comedy. Producer Mitch Hurwitz announced that the season 4 premiere will hit Netflix Sunday May 26 at 12:01AM Pacific time. If you're wondering why it has to be so specific, it's because this is such an anticipated event for many fans, a lot of them will likely be waiting for the exact moment the show becomes available. Since the show aired on FOX from 2003 to 2006, fans have been clamoring to see new episodes. There have been plenty of rumors since the last episode aired, but finally fans have a specific time they can look forward to seeing the Bluth family again.

Not only will May 26 be a huge date for "Arrested Development" fans, but it will also be a big date for Netflix. This will be the first time the show provider distributes exclusive content from an already successful TV show. Netflix's model has yet to prove whether or not it can be sustain success over the long term, but this certainly will be an interesting test. This could prove to be a historic time in TV history.

The premiere of "Arrested Development" on Netflix will showcase all 15 episodes of season 4 at once. You can check out a promotional poster for the fourth season below, which will have plenty of guest stars. Among the big names expected to make appearances in the fourth season are Kristen Wiig, Conan O'Brien, Andy Richter, Seth Rogen, and Henry Winkler.

By all accounts it seems like Netflix's first original series, "House of Cards," was successful. The show is currently in production for its second season. The show stars Kevin Spacey. Another Netflix original series, "Hemlock Grove," will debut April 19. Eli Roth is the executive producer on the horror project. This will prove to be another big step for Netflix's original programming.
