Joey Feek's funeral will be a private service. Her final resting place will also be her last wish, to be buried at the family cemetery.
Before her death the country star told her husband Rory Lee Feek that she wanted to be placed in a simple box in their family cemetery near her mother-in-law. "A rough-cut wooden box with a cross on it was placed beneath the bay of the bus and brought up here because that's what Joey wants. 'Thomas to make my box ... simple, from wood at [our farm in Pottsville, Tennessee],' she said. 'And find a good spot in the family cemetery in the field behind our house, where we put your mama's ashes last year ... with room enough beside my headstone for you to join me someday ... in God's time,'" Rory revealed in the blog called A Bus Full Of Joy.
According to WJHL, Joey's service isn't listed, but fans, family and friends can send donations, in lieu of flowers, to Joey and Indy at P.O. Box 5471 Vancouver, WA, 98668.
