'Batman v Superman' Will Still Feature Jena Malone, More Intensity in Director's Cut

It looks like Zack Snyder has decided to keep Jena Malone in the highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The director has just confirmed that the previously deleted scene featuring Malone's Barbara Gordon will be included in the film's theatrical release and even teased about what to expect in the R-rated director's cut!

Snyder recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly, where he revealed that Malone's scene have been restored in Batman v Superman's final cut. In addition to that, the scene featuring Green Bay Packers running back, Ahman Green, has been restored in the film as well.

Although Malone's character in BvS has not yet been confirmed, there have been speculations that the Hunger Games actress will portray Batgirl in the movie. A French magazine had previously reported that the identity of Malone's character in a feature about the minor cast of Batman v Superman.

Although Malone might only have a brief appearance in the theatrical release, there is a possibility that there will be more of her in the R-rated home video, which Snyder confirmed will expand on the storylines of the film's minor characters like Jason Momoa's Aquaman, Ezra Miller's The Flash and Ray Fisher's Cyborg. The director declared that there will be several things to look out for in the Ultimate Edition, which will feature "a lot of these Easter Eggs in the Director's Cut that I think are gonna be fun for everyone."

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and Diane Lane as Martha Kent. The film drops into theaters on March 25.
