If you have kept your eyes peeled while watching the latest episode of The Walking Dead Season 6, then you would already be aware that Jeffrey Dean Morgan's villainous Negan hasn't made his debut just yet. However, "Not Tomorrow Yet" actually featured a completely different superstar and although the rest of his body was nowhere in sight, Johnny Depp's severed head made an appearance in the episode!
In the 12th episode of The Walking Dead Season 6, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his group need to present the Saviors with the decapitated head of Gregory (Xander Berkeley) to convince Negan to free the Hilltop members they have held captive. Their solution: Hack off the heads of walkers who vaguely resemble Gregory.
For the scene, TWD special effects supervisor Greg Nicotero decided to create the zombie heads made out of special molds of his own likeness (since he sort of looks like Berkeley) and that of Depp's.
"One of the other heads, I don't know if I'm going to get in trouble if I say this, was Johnny Depp," Nicotero admitted to Entertainment Weekly before explaining the process.
"I think we had sculpted an emaciated version of a dummy head for something and we used Johnny Depp's head as a basis just for a clay sculpt," he said, adding that he wasn't sure about how they came about with the anonymous third head but he felt that his head was "in good company."

Nicotero also revealed that TWD star Norman Reedus was so impressed with the zombie heads that he wanted to bring them home as a souvenir.
"Norman kept saying he wanted the heads when we were done shooting," he shared. "I said we've got to wait until the picture is logged."
There is no word yet on whether Reedus was able to get away from the TWD set with Depp's zombie head.
The Walking Dead Season 6 airs on AMC every Sunday nights.
