Who knew!? Danielle Fishel aka Topanga from "Boy Meets World" actually went to prom with former 'N Sync boy band member Lance Bass. Of course, this was back in 1999 during the height of 'N Sync and Fishel still fresh in the minds of boys everywhere playing Topanga. Fast forward to today and we know Bass is gay and Fishel will reprise her role as Topanga in "Girl Meets World."

The "Boy Meets World" series follow up "Girl Meets World" has gotten quite a bit of attention after the announcement that both Fishel and Ben Savage (Cory) will be back playing their old characters. As a result, we get a lot more of Topanga in the news.

The 31-year-old actress is now engaged to Tim Belusko, while 33-year-old Bass came out of the closet back in 2006 and is dating model Michael Turchin. Fishel and Bass dated from 1999 to 2000. As the story goes, Fishel was the one who asked Bass to her high school prom. Fishel revealed in a video post for PopSugar, "When I was a senior in high school I asked my boyfriend at the time if he would go to prom with me, because my boyfriend at the time was Lance Bass...So I had to make sure his schedule would allow for prom."

"Unfortunately he told me no, because he was going to be in Japan and I was so sad," Fishel said. However, Bass' plans changed and he sent her three dozen roses in the mail with a car asking her if he can taker her to prom. Low and behold, Fishel and Bass ended up going to prom together. Fishel even posted proof on her Twitter. Fishel tweeted along with the picture, "Pics or it didn't happen," in case anyone was questioning whether her story was real or not.
