'Chrisley Knows Best' S04E01: 'Crowning Achievements' Todd And Julie Premiere Recap

USA network airs the Season 4 premiere of their reality show/comedy, Chrisley Knows Best. In Episode 1, Todd and Julie Chrisley are back with their kids, Savannah and Chase in Crowning Achievements.

In the kitchen, Todd realizes his wife is cooking just for three people. With their kids growing up. Julie just has Grayson and Chloe to take care of. Julie is proud of Savannah being crowned Miss Tennessee 2016 but Todd missed the event. 

Todd talks to his daughter on FaceTime, apologizing for missing the ceremony. Unfortunately, Savannah doesn't feel like a party. She doesn't want him to go over-the-top. Back at home, Chase returns with a luggage full of dirty clothes. The folks mock Chase's scruffy look, calling it a homeless look. 

Savannah drives back home in a dirty car. As Savannah then takes her father out, Chase talks to Grayson for a favor and get him clothes. Offering up money, Chase wants Grayson to steal Todd's clothing. Grayson signs a contract accepting the full blame if he gets caught. 

After being shown the venue, Savannah isn't cool with recreating the pageant for her father. Savannah doesn't want to wear the pageant dress and crown for her party Chase is upset that his sister is annoyed, since the party is being thrown specifically for her. Todd is nervous about the whole thing because he's afraid his kids won't think their father is involved in their life.

Savannah is shocked that the entire town is at the party; this was supposed to be a small event. Because Savannah has to stand up on stage, she promises to make a show of it. Savannah thanks everyone at the party, from her grandmother to her brother, except for her father. Soon the entire crowd starts laughing at Todd.  

Todd isn't too happy while driving. Feeling embarrassed, he did everything for this special event  and his owndaughter rejects him. During breakfast, Julie wants her daughter to apologize for being so mean. She explains that Todd feels guilty for missing the pageant, especially since the kids aren't at home anymore.

As Savannah offers more money, Grayson squeals about stealing Todd's clothing. Todd and Julie take back their missing wardrobe, leaving Chase just with a roll of toilet paper. Making things up for her father, Savannah wears the pageant dress and makes a speech dedicated to her father.  

In the bedroom, Todd and Julie admit they miss their children. He has to celebrate their children's achievement from afar. Toddd puts on the crown in jest and kisses his wife.
