'The Divergent Series: Allegiant' Shailene Woodley Cannot Wait For Theo James In 'Ascendant?'

The Divergent Series: Allegiant movie is going to be the first part of the two-part finale of the science fiction film based on Veronica Roth's trilogy. In a recent interview, actress Shailene Woodley admitted that she is looking forward to the final installment, Ascendant and she cannot wait to again share the screen with her co-star Theo James.

The Divergent Series: Allegiant is just around the corner and the millions of movie and novel fans are very excited for the film. The cast and crew are already busy in promoting the upcoming science fiction film.The film's prominent characters, Woodley and James, share an amazing chemistry on-screen. It has already circulated many rumors about the stars are dating in real life.

In an interview with E! News, the 24-year-old Woodley, who plays the role of Tris shared that she is very excited to see what exactly is in store for her and James in the last installment of the franchise.

"I'm looking forward to seeing how the story's going to be constructed because I have no idea," Woodley said.

James has always been very vocal when it comes to his friendship with Woodley. In an earlier interview with Dazed Digital, he opened up about his closeness with her and the rest of the cast of Divergent.

"We all hung out a lot. It was fun. We were all in this one apartment. We're all sharing a bed - me and Shailene just shared a single bed and were just like spooning every night! Erm no, we were all in this same apartment block so it felt like camp for better or worse. It was fun and we hit the town quite a lot and drunk our weight in tequila."

The Divergent Series follows the story of Tris (played by Woodley), who lives in a dystopian and post-apocalyptic Chicago, where the citizens are defined and categorized by their personality types. It was reported by The Hollywood Reporter that the previous film, Divergent Series: Insurgent, came out in March 2015 and earned a total of $295.2 million dollars worldwide.

On April 11, 2014, it was reported by Variety that Summit Entertainment announced that the third part in the franchise would split into two films to justify with the storyline from the novel. The third part of the series picks up right after Tris and Four and the entire gang unlocked the prophecy that revealed a thriving society living outside the walls of Chicago.

The third part is based on a fraction of the final book and The Divergent Series: Ascendant will have more content from the novel. The Divergent Series: Allegiant opens in theaters on Mar. 18, 2016, whereas the final part is scheduled to release on June 9, 2017.
