Heading into the end of Week 1 of the MLB 2013 regular season, ESPN predicts the season outlook team power rankings. The Nationals head into the 2013 regular season at the no 1 spot - as sports columnist Harper Gordek points out, "The Nationals had 98 wins last season. This year they are healthy on offense, brought in Dan Haren and Rafael Soriano to pitch, and have an improved defense. See you in October."

Washington currently holds a 4-1 winning record, having played the Miami Marlins earlier this week. The Nationals proved victorious in Game 2 against the Reds with a score of 7-6.

The Reds snag the no 3 overall spot (out of 30 teams). According to Chad Dotson, "Joey Votto is healthy again, Cincinnati finally has a true leadoff hitter (Shin-Soo Choo), and the NL's second-best pitching staff returns intact. There hasn't been this much preseason optimism in the Queen City since the mid-1970s."

Cincinnati has three wins and two loss heading into Saturday's game after playing the LA Angels. The Reds won Game 1 against the Nationals with a score of 15-0.
