In this era of nostalgia-induced reboots, Disney is more than willing to tap on its own vast library of classics and revive some of its most beloved characters -- so, enter DuckTales. Recently, the company released the first look at the Disney XD show about the adventures of the Duck family, including Donald and his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie and Scrooge McDuck!

Last Monday, the company released the first photo of the upcoming reboot, and on it we can see the main characters of the classic show riding together in a car, their personalities fairly well represented.

On the pic, Scrooge, behind the wheel, looks as cranky as ever; Huey, Dewey and Louie seem to be solving whatever situation got them there; Donald, the eternal goofball, is in the wrong place at the wrong time and Webby is exhilarated to be in on the adventure.

One character from the show is missing so far, though: Launchpad McQuack, Scrooge's pilot during the team's multiple treasure-finding adventures. Still, this is only the first look, so he might still pop into the series, since there aren't even clips released.

Also, while in the original series Donald only popped around from time to time, judging by the new photo, he seems to be one of the main characters now.

The DuckTales reboot still won't premiere for another year, as it's expected some time in 2017, but there's hope for greatness in the new show, even during these remake-filled times.

As The Mary Sue reports, Disney also recently released a new version of its classic Mickey Mouse cartoon, which is pretty spectacular. And so far, the new DuckTales' aesthetic looks rather like the style Mickey and his friends are sporting these days.

Nostalgic '90s kids have a lot of new reboots and sequels for their enjoyment these days, from Netflix's recent Fuller House to upcoming versions of Nickelodeon's most famous shows from their animated block from the decade.
