Because nostalgia goes a long way with audiences, Fox is officially planning the revival of their popular crime drama, Prison Break. In the upcoming Season 5, will Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) and Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) find a possible enemy or ally with new cast member Rick Yune?
As we previously mentioned, Fox is currently developing a limited-series revival of its drama series. In the ten episode arc, Miller and Purcell reprise once more as their sibling characters. Described as a "the perfect event series" by Fox co-chairman Gary Newman promised this will be a closed-ended storyline. Details were first sketchy because Michael passed away in the series finale, but it seems like that ending will be tossed away. Robert Knepper also reprised his role as T-Bag in an episode of Breakout Kings.
According to Deadline, Augustus Prew (Klondike), Rick Yune (Marco Polo) and Steve Mouzakis (I, Frankenstein) have landed recurring roles on the Fox drama. Whip (Prew) is funny but has a crazy side when he's being pretty damn sharp. Ja (Yune) is a Korean identity thief, whose disheveled appearance hides his true genius. Van Gogh (Mouzakis) is just a plain bad-ass nut-job.
The possible plot for the fith season could be "Fernando, C-Note, Lincoln, and Sara go on a mission to rescue Michael from Yemen where he is imprisoned after faking his death."
Deals are being finalized for Sarah Wayne Callies, Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar and Amaury Nolasco to reprise their roles as Sara, T-Bag, C-Note and Fernando.
As TV Line adds, Legends of Tomorrow has been renewed by the CW Network for a sophomore season. Callies' new show, Colony, nears her first season finale on USA Network, before she goes back to work on the second season. All we can say is, season 5 better be shooting now!
We have 5 reasons why we're excited to see Colony here:
The Prison Break revival will return to Fox sometime in 2016.
Readers, would you like to see Michael back from the dead in Prison Break?
